Super Typhoon Haiyan: PMI Sends Helicopters

The Indonesian Red Cross (Palang Merah Indonesia – PMI) plans to send 50 tonnes of reliefs consist of among others 2000 personal hygiene equipment, 2000 mattress and mobile clinic as well as 9 health workers.

6 sanitation specialists will be flown to the Philippines via Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia followed by some 50 something volunteers. PMI will be also sending 10 water tanks, 2 helicopters, 2 amphibious vehicles through a RORO ship.
