Lately I have been thinking a lot about support, specific to and from colleagues in the field of Student Affairs.  I have been thinking about how much I have been pleasantly surprised, and extremely grateful, the Student Affairs technology community (bloggers, twitter, etc) have welcomed my blog presence.  I only began posting higher education/social media specific content since July, but already feel connected and part of the conversation with those who have been in the mix for years.

So, when I was asked to be part of a project not only to support a colleague, but to also give to a cause, it was an easy answer.

Over a month ago, Typhoon Haiyan hit the Philippines.  One of the deadliest typhoons to hit this nation, it left 6,000 dead and 1,000,000 homeless.  To date, almost 1,800 people are still missing.  Two weeks ago, the US pulled back slightly on support…
