When supertyphoon Yolanda (Haiyan) struck Central Visayas nearly two months ago. All hopes seem to have vanished in the devastated land. Considering the magnitude of damage, Filipinos continue to rise above the disaster and show to the world our courage and resilience.

As days went by, and turned to weeks, we followed how local authorities, with the help of the international aid, handled the relief, recovery and rebuilding. It’s quite a big job and we are told not just to reconstruct, but to build back better, stronger, and in safer areas.

While there were photos that had gone viral showing how human kindness was overflowing, there were also songs produced here and abroad to boost the morale of this long-term rebuilding efforts. These touched our hearts and pushed us to help in anyway possible. These remind us the huge challenge before us, and the world behind us.
