We are a work in progress, intending to swiftly meet the needs of kababayans in typhoon-afflicted areas with transparency, accuracy and hope.
The organizers with Illinois Philippine Recovery Operations include volunteers with the Philippine American Cultural Foundation, Filipino folk fusion band Samasama Project, and a handful of volunteers known for their dedication to community building.
Our goal is to raise enough funds to subsidize two medical missions: One in Tacloban City on Feb. 25 (9 a.m. to 5 p.m.) led by Baron Cabalona, and another in Paluan City, Occidental Mindoro on March 2 (9 a.m. to 5 p.m.), led by Dr. Ariel Tolentino.
