Thousands of Rotary clubs from all over the world set up special funds and began collecting donations and supplies that have arrived and keep arriving up to today, to help thousands of Filipino families affected by Typhoon Haiyan
Apart from contributing to ShelterBox, the international disaster response charity that is Rotary’s project partner for disaster relief, Rotary Clubs have also pursued other venues, such as local fund-raisers, food and supply drives, or giving to other established relief agencies, such as the Red Cross/Red Crescent and the World Food Programme.
Rotary Clubs within the Philippines have contributed in the measure of their possibilities to mitigate the terrible consequences of the Typhoon in the disaster areas.
