People of the Philippines Against Typhoon Haiyan

Gordon's Blog

More locally known as “Yolanda”, “Haiyan” was one of the most devastating Typhoons ever to make landfall and its effects show that it rightfully deserves its place in history. Just a month after it the people of the Philippines show the qualities that make them one of the best international workers over the world – resiliency, hardiness and determination.

This just goes to show that even the strongest Typhoons can never break the will of people who are willing to stand by each other, even if their own government reportedly continuous to turn a blind eye to what it is going through as of the moment.

Whether or not the Philippines will get good or bad publicity from Haiyan is still up in the air, but given how things have unfolded recently, my bet is that the Philippines has been put in the negative spotlight more than ever.
